Q. What is TU Big Give?

The sixth-annual TU Big Give is a university-wide, 24-hour online fundraising challenge to strengthen areas of TU that mean the most to you – from scholarships and academic and athletic programs to colleges, departments, emergency funds, hands-on learning opportunities and so much more. 

Q. When is it?

TU Big Give 2024 will take place on April 17, 2024.

Q. What is GiveGab?

GiveGab is a nonprofit giving platform that helps to raise money, engage donors and manage volunteers quickly and efficiently. GiveGab offers a full portfolio of simple and easy-to-use products that allow organizations to function in a more streamlined manner. 

Q. Who can make an impact?

Anyone! We encourage all alumni, parents, students, faculty, staff, and friends to participate in making an impact when making a gift through the TU Big Give online portal via credit card or debit card. All gifts of $5 or more will count towards our campaign’s goal.

Q. Where can I give?

You can support anywhere within the university that means the most to you!

Q. Are TU Big Give contributions tax-deductible?

All gifts made to support the university are tax-deductible. After making a gift, you will receive an email confirmation that will serve as your receipt for tax purposes. Please consult your tax adviser if you have questions. 

Q. Is it safe to make my gift online?

Yes! TU Big Give works with a technology called GiveGab that is PCI Level 1-compliant. Credit card information will not be stored and is not accessible to GiveGab. The contact information you provide to Towson University will remain private and secure. 

Q. What if I already made a gift to Towson University this year?

Thank you for being a part of our donor community! We appreciate your commitment and support of TU and encourage you to make an additional gift of any size during TU Big Give. We are strongly encouraging participation. 

Q. Can I help promote TU Big Give?

Of course! We encourage you to share the images and messages that are located in the ambassador toolkit. Send an email to your classmates, post on your Facebook page, tweet, blog, yell, put signs on your lawn. It is all encouraged and appreciated!

Q. Can I use my employer’s matching gift funds?

Yes! We strongly encourage you to take advantage of your employer’s generosity to enhance the impact of your support at Towson University.
