Gifts to Dr. Julius Chapman Memorial Fund contribute to...
Dr. Julius Chapman, the first Dean of Minority Affairs at Towson University, had an immeasurable impact on our students and community. A leader in inclusion and excellence, Dr. Chapman helped to recruit and nurture Black scholars during their time on campus. Towson's Black Student Union and Black Faculty and Administrators Association were founded during his time here. Dr. Chapman also played an important role in the creation of the Black Cultural Center and was instrumental in helping many students complete their degrees.
To honor his memory, the Towson University Foundation has established the Dr. Julius Chapman Memorial Fund to advance advocacy and programming efforts that support a diverse and inclusive campus community. The Office of Inclusion and Institutional Equity will be responsible for guiding gifts made to this fund to benefit specific campus initiatives that reflect the spirit of Dr. Chapman's incredible work and vision for TU.
