Jewish Cultural Reconstruction Book Project

Cook librarians and staff are leading a nationwide effort to protect and share the Jewish Cultural Reconstruction Books. These heirless books, confiscated by the Nazis during World War II and then redistributed to educational institutions around the world, are in danger of having their histories lost over time. We partner with museums, schools and other cultural institutions to deliver Holocaust education programming centered around these books, and your gift will help us continue to share these significant stories.
